Description
This is my entry for a worldwide annual competition my uni runs, this year around the theme 'tree time tales'
....strange title for a theme...yes.
according to our tutors every theme now has to end with 'tales'...
anyway the already pushed back deadline is tomorrow and typically i left it till the day before to do something...anything.
my idea behind this was...
I wanted to create two corresponding images around the idea that trees continue to grow in the way they always have while inventions and technology continuously grow and change in different ways around them.
The image is meant to represent the nature of 'some things don't change' by Illustrating the simple joy of riding through a forest with man's best friend. By depicting this existing a 100 years apart we can see the concept of the activity remains enjoyed the same while inventions have moved onto some thing different.
so yeah.
I don't expect to win
but i got to draw trees

there were originally 3 panels but the third (which had a hover bike!!1!) got scrapped due to me not liking it.

So many things that I love here: the autumn colors, the bike designs, the dogs, the boy holding on to his hat. Yes, riding your bike with your dog is still one of life's great pleasures!
